Located on the edge of the Veluwezoom
Gerrit Paulus Troost built a bakery/lunchroom with a residence at 22 Zupthensestraatweg in Ellecom in 1900. Part of the building was then also set up for room rental. Baker Troost did not stay alone; in the years that followed, as many as six bakers settled in the small village. Grandson Paul was therefore forced to give up the business in 1968. In the room, at the front of the building, you imagine yourself back in the former baker’s store. Here you sleep wonderfully in a long double bed (2.10 m). The former baker’s store has its own luxurious bathroom with floor heating, walk-in shower, sink and toilet.
The Erker room has not only two luxury hotel box springs, on which you will sleep wonderfully, but also a sitting area with fireplace. This room also has its own luxurious and spacious bathroom with floor heating, walk-in shower, sink and toilet. You can add a crib in the bay room.

The village of Ellecom is situated at the borders of the ‘Veluwezoom’, one of the largest forests of the Netherlands. Within 300 meters you are already there. A magnificent area for walking, cycling or horse-riding. It is well possible to spot wild pigs or deer when you are walking in the ‘Onzalige Bossen’. Or climb the hills of the ‘Posbank’ on your mountain bike. And then, when you have reached the top, enjoy the beautiful views.

Come and enjoy nature in the Veluwezoom National Park. In all seasons, the area near the Posbank is great for hiking, cycling (mountain bike) or horseback riding. A rolling landscape with beautiful views, forest and heath.
Go back in time and visit Hanseatic city Doesburg. The old town is home to many monumental buildings. There are a number of museums including the Lalique Museum. Doesburg, of course, is also known for its mustard. The operating mustard factory can be visited. Doesburg is about 5 kilometers from our B & B.
Walking and hiking are two of the most accessible and rewarding outdoor activities, offering a chance to connect with nature, improve fitness, and experience the world at a slower pace.
During the year there are many events organized in the Gelredome in Arnhem. Then our B&B is pre-eminently the suitable base to retreat before and after the event. Not sitting back in the car for hours, but relaxing after a wonderful evening at the Gelredome.
